Hello friends and fellow club members!

Here are the meeting minutes for October 15th:

ANNOUNCMENTS:

Please return all gear that you have taken out.  Gear hours are Monday from 2 to 4and Friday from 1PM to 2:30PM.  Contact Patrick (conlonpc@clarkson.edu) or Paul (doernepm@clarkson.edu). Patrick will also be looking for help during gear hours to organize and inventory the club gear.  Go help him to get service hours!

– Tom (twomeyta@clarkson.edu) is looking for help organizing the gear in the climbing cage which is also good for service hours!

-Speaking on Tom Twomey(twomeyta@clarkson.edu), the rock chairs will be doing arope and knots workshop sometime soon.  This will be benefiecial for all aspiring climbers and especially those looking to go on the Spring Break Trip to Kentucky.

-We will be taking the Tony Tuesday picture tomorrow(Thursday) at the boat house at 5PM.  There is a lot of money at stake and Frisbee Club thinks they can beat us so wear your (worst) suit and get ready to sit in boats, hang from trees, wade in the river or whatever else we think of.

-Next weekend is Family/Homecoming Weekend!  For us as CUOCers this means 2 things 1) We can win money for the club for doing a skit at the pep rally. Email me if you are interested.  And 2) We are leading a hike up Azure Mtn. on Saturday from9AM to 2PM.  Tony Collins may also be joining us this year so bring your family or come alone.  Email me if you want to come

-We will be making and eventually selling CUOC Apparel so far we have a few awesome logo ideas but we need more!  Email me (desmondp@clarkson.edu) your ideas which may be put on t shirts, hats, flannels, beanies, and/or stickers.  Even if you cant draw send me an email describing your idea and I will do my best.

-We have been approved for money  to replace many of our Microspikes and Snowshoes which is good because there is now snow and ice in the Adirondacks.  Make sure you start bring extra clothing and winter equipment.  If you have any questions about winter hiking techniques don’t hesitate to ask more experienced club members and remember Cotton Kills!

-We have started laying the ground work for a Mountain Biking branch of club.  We will be electing bike chairs at the upcoming elections and we will begin building our bike department for next year’s use.

-Speaking of, we will be holding officer elections on November 12th at the weekly meeting.  If you want to run for a position starting thinking about it now and make sure to check out the club Constitution on Knightlife to learn more about the responsibilities of each position.  Nominations will begin 2 weeks prior to elections.

-If you want to rent a canoe please contact the canoe chairs Kyle (stonekt@clarkson.edu) or Dylan (gilgaldt@clarkson.edu) and make sure you give them a days notice to ensure that you get a canoe.
