Hello Fellow CUOC’ers
Here’s the information from the November 19th CUOC meeting.
The new officers and chairs have taken their positions, so note the changes. Their names will be provided at the bottom of the email.
If you STILL haven’t returned your climbing shoes, like me, please try and remember them for the next meeting. Miles would like to note that when you bring them, he just needs to database them quickly and you can have them back immediately after.
Dan the Man (email@example.com) is still looking for your best pictures for the display boards. Sharing them on the CUOC facebook page works too.
We may have the opportunity to show Real Rock 9 during our next meeting over Dead Week, more info to come.
Katherine (firstname.lastname@example.org) is working to get people into an Avalanche 1 certification course. There is a lot to still be worked out but it would be from January 31’st to February 2’nd at Smugglers Notch.
Trip Of The Week (Last Week)
Dylan’s not so bad trip up Azure. Goes to show that even bad weather can’t stop a good quality night hike in the rain and snow without a headlamp and no moon…
Trip Of The Week (This Week)
Katherine’s (almost) first tracks on Whiteface. Because trails are no fun, and they got to experience the “step up thingy’s” that we’ve come to know and love as “stairs”.
Trips Going Out
A lot of people are going home…that’s no fun…
Katherine (email@example.com) will be in the ski cage providing cross country and or telemark skis from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Kyle (firstname.lastname@example.org) will also be in the ski cage from 3 pm to 6 pm giving out histips and tricks for sharpening and waxing your skis.
Matt Dyer (email@example.com) and Dylan Gilgallon (firstname.lastname@example.org) will be partaking in a grand tour of the Clarkson University Campus via Skis, Scooters, Bikes, Sleds, and anything else that seems like a bad yet good idea. Swing by Thomas 3 and they will happily show you how it’s done.
Dan the Man (email@example.com) would like everyone to know that there is a ski/snowboard park in development between Ross and Cubley. Swing by if you see the lights and hear “OOOHHHHHH SIIIICK”
Kolby outlined just a few of the accomplishments that he and Catherine made during their presidency. The most Pre-Orientation trips ever, the largest Canoefest ever, the largest average meeting turnout ever, and the largest number of registered members ever. Thank them if you see them for doing so much for the club.
