Hello Fellow CUOC’ers

Here’s the information from the January 28th CUOC meeting.

CUOC Announcements

CUOC Formal will be next Friday, February 6th. We will have food, music from CUB,dancing, and a photo area. If you didn’t get to pay the $15 per person tonight please contact Adam Graham (grahamac@clarkson.edu) immediately.

WINTERFEST!!! If you havent gotten the message from the last few emails, It’s kind of a big deal. Games include, but are not limited to, Snowball Dodgeball, Uphill Ski Race, Tennis Ball in a Snow Pile, Sled racing, Tug of War, and a Snowman Building Contest. Plus there will be a Big Air jump contest, awesome food, a bonfire, and all your friends from Clarkson because everyone is going. It will be February 7th at Seven Springs.(directions-.google.com/maps ).

An info session for those interested in taking the NOLS course over the summer will be held on February 27th.

Get your Pre-Orientation trip forms in as soon as possible. There’s a link on the Facebook page, and it’s been emailed to you but if you still don’t have it let me know.

Please bring back snow shoes, skis, and micro spikes if you have them out.

The CABIN floor will be hosting a viewing of Real Rock 9 next Wednesday in the Student Center. It’s the CABIN floor, so it’s gonna be a good time.

Trips Of The Week

Jake Brown’s crazy awesome Ice Climbing adventures at Azure that looked strangely similar to the way it did last weekend, and the weekend before that. It must always besunny and fun looking.

Evan Bilsback’s epic shredding of Azure. They skinned up. They skied down. There waspowder, cliffs, and good times.

Trips Going Out

Patrick Conlon (conlonpc@clarkson.edu) will be leading an “intro to moderate hiking” trip up Colden on Saturday.

Paul Doerner and Jake Brown are going climbing but you can’t go with them…

Evan Bilsback (bilsbaer@clarkson.edu) will be skiing at Big Tupper on Saturday.

Jared Curtis (curtisjs@clarkson.edu) will be hiking Giant on Saturday and has 2 seats available.

Dylan Gilgallon (gilgaldt@clarkson.edu) will be leading his weekly cross country skiing on Friday night. Time is not finalized yet. This will be a CABIN sponsored event, so it’s gonna be a good time.

The Hiking gear cage will be open at 4 PM on Friday.

Other

Dylan Gilgallon needs a date to Formal. Contact Matt Dyer or Adam Graham to schedule an interview.
